UX for Good

“Can designers solve real-world social problems?” At the inaugural UX for Good event, 50 user-experience and visual designers from across the United States applied their talents to address five social challenges: community mental health, unemployment, public education, urban violence, and cross-cultural understanding. The designers were guided by experts in the various fields – representing the Adler School of Professional Psychology, Streetwise, The Third Teacher, Ceasefire, and Global Lives Project. As part of the event, Insight Labs selected the partner organizations and recruited a team of outside innovators to inspire the designers.
